More About Me

As a therapist...

...I adhere to a strict policy of meeting folks where they are. I aim to create a secure, non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace, with you at the helm. I understand healing is a deeply personal journey, and my goal is to support you in finding clarity, strength, and whatever else you may need. Be it navigating the aftermath of trauma, facing a significant life change, or simply looking for a fresh perspective, I will collaborate with you to develop practical and affirming strategies. Your care is my priority, and I am committed to your healing and growth.

Trained in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), I aim to challenge negative thought patterns and assess situations as they truly are. In addition to CBT, I utilize aspects of Motivational Interviewing techniques such as asking questions that allow us to be more empathetic to ourselves. My counseling philosophy is feminist and multicultural, and I do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to mental health. We are all unique and exist at different intersections. I honor and respect those intersections. My practice is anti-racist, inclusive, and supports members of the LGBTQIA+ community.

I work with ages tween to adult. As an LGPC, I am under supervision of a licensed counselor in Washington, DC. Please reach out for more information and to schedule a session!

As of Spring 2025, I offer eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) therapy.
